Always see thanks on here from the multitude of stage teams to the marshals, so thought perhaps us marshalls should say thanks to you lot!  So THANK YOU!!!

We had a fantastic weekend marshaling on Cloc, Gartheiniog, Myherin and Monument.   All the stage teams at signing on seemed to be on top of everything, very few queues going into the stages, and an enjoyable few days in the trees.  (Good weather, apart from Friday afternoon too!)

The weekend wasnt without it's dramas for us, started off with our of our teams radiators deciding to go pop in a big way just as we got to our junction on Cloc on Thursday afternoon.  Meant a SLOW drive back home to south wales for him on Thursday night after the stage ran, a radiator swap and back to us for Myherin. 

We had a car off about a mile away from us on Myherin 20foot over the edge and on it';s roof, no injuries though and was able to get the driver a signal on my phone so he could speak to his team back at service.  Then to top it off, a spectator with a suspected heart attack on our junction just before the top boys came through on their second run.  Turned out to be very low blood pressure and he was driven back to Llanidloes hospital for a check up.  We bumped into him in a pub later that evening, so it didn't knock him off his feet for too long!!

The only downside to the event was Monument signing on.  We arrived at 8pm, with signing on not starting till 10, but the guy on the gate let us through, so we trundled down to the signon location.  Our reception there was a little frosty to say the least, actually we were ready to turn around and go home.  I understand that everyone is under pressure to get things sorted, but to speak to volunteers like they did was not really acceptable.  Anyways, we sat our ground pulled over out of their way and when we signed on you couldn't ask for nicer folk!

Anyways, brilliant event, superbly run and a credit to all the organisers that the new longer route must have tested more than the competitors!!  Keep up the good work folks and we'll see you in September!!ClapClap

The Dyfnant stage team
 
Would like to thank all the Marshal's, Radio crews, Rescue, Doctors and not forgetting recovery. for their supporting and assistance on the day with the course cars running late and first competitor starting just 1 minute late that due start time. and what feedback we have had so far is that it was an enjoyable day with the exception being the stage route out after the stage had finished being blocked whilst a competitor's car was being recovered.

I Can confirm that we have a rucksack, pen, sticker, pin and handbook to provide to
marshals on the Conwy Ceromonial StartSmile i do only have 28 of them tho.
