SWRT used to provide nice TOMTOM places to add with all the stages, but obviously they're not available any more.

Gonna be hard to find I would have thought.

What stages are you thinking of doing Bondy54?

I am looking for a list of co-ordinates for this years WRC in Wales. To assist me in planning my trip to watch the Rally in November.

Co-ordinates for stages, carparks, good spots to watch etc

I have scaled the internet with no luck.

Can somebody help out of point me in the right direction.

i am a rally marshal and i am looking for a lift to the stages to marshal or to whatch just if some one whonts just to go i hope some one can help thanks ps i will help out on petrol

Arriving Tuesday afternoon after work
Recce Cardiff bay

Shakedown (where is this to?, and how long for?)
Ceremonial Start

Sweet Lamb

Cardiff Service AM.

Then back to work Sunday!

Another 4 days in the trees for me and a friend again this year,

We're down for:

Shakedown
Myherin
Monument
Resolfen

Probably head down to Cardiff after the shakedown to have a look at the SSS and a wander around service too.

So where is everyone else heading for this year then?

Nah nobody about at the mo, but as you say, give it a few weeks and look out!

Yeah, will be very interesting to see how he gets on, as long as the car lasts the two days!

I have heard from another source that Burton will deffo be out, but possibly NOT in the pug, but
another car he's building. Possibly based on a Fiesta, but using the engine from the pug...
(It'd be nice to see the old Alfa back out on the stages though!!

Yeah, been reading about the Mini's comeback and somthing about a possible return for Gronholm
in it too... That's what we need though, plenty of works teams instead of just Ford V Citroen!

I am very intrigued how the Pug will compare... Bring it on!

Mini Countryman WRC coming soon too... at least we get another manufacturer.

...who knows, S2000 rules may open the floodgates...

Well from his website it certainly looks so! Always wanted to see how his times compares to
the pros!

I know entries dont open for the national event until September, but he's listed it on his events
to do this year! That'll surprise the once a year spectators when the cossy comes blatting around
the stages!

Forestry Commission Wales and organisers ofthe Wales Rally GB have confirmed today that it's business as usual forthe event which takes place from 11-14 November, despite the presenceof a tree disease in forests which are to be used on the final day ofthe event.The first competitive section of the rally is inHafren Forest, near Aberystwyth, an area that is currently not affectedby the recent outbreak of the Phytophthora ramorum (P. ramorum)infection.

The route then travels through Radnor, Crychan and Halfwaywoodlands, which are also not affected by the infection, beforefinishing in woodlands near Resolven where P. ramorum is present onJapanese larch trees.

P. ramorum can be spread by tree needles and soil clinging to peopleor vehicles but, as the planned rally route takes competitors fromuninfected woodlands to infected woodlands, the risk of cars spreadingthe disease is greatly reduced.

Cars will be washed down with disinfectant at the end of thecompetitive route, before they travel to Cardiff for the ceremonialfinish.

Spectators will be asked to follow some simple biosecurityprecautions, such as keeping to paths, cleaning footwear and not takingany plant material away to minimise the spread of infection.

P. ramorum was found on Japanese larch trees in south Wales in June.Surveys of woodlands are ongoing and, as it is likely the infection hasspread further, Forestry Commission Wales and the organisers willclosely monitor developments in the run-up to the rally.

Forestry Commission Wales is also holding discussions with theorganisers of a wide variety of other events to consider options forthose that are planned for later this year.

The Swansea Bay Rally that was due to take place on 17 July in theforests around Resolven has been postponed as the route meant carswould be travelling between infected woodlands and uninfected areasseveral times, thereby presenting a high risk of spreading the disease.
